new boots

Today I have walked about 5 miles in my new Salomon boots which i got yesterday for my Christmas and birthday from Mum and Dad Thank you you 2.
The weather was awful but I love the scenery around here which is fantastic, and took my mind off the absolutely pants rain and wind. It certainly tested my boots which started a bit tight on my right foot but by mile 4 it was all sorted and i am delighted with how dry and comfortable they are even though it was the first 5 miles.
The Silva ex plus pedometer i bought at the same time stopped after 1/2 an hour which i think was just a positioning problem.which will be sorted tomorrow.

walking

I have been out for a nice long walk with Flint (our Westie) and called in at Tesco's to see about using their Queensbury store as the End point to Our Walk.Which they have agreed to.
The Scooter club are going to organise a scooter cavalcade to escort me in, over the the last few miles or so.and we are putting some other stuff together.so it should be good.
The route is changing slightly so I don't have to walk through Glasgow.and it also includes a short ferry ride, which I think is quite apt being at sea on my last day in the mob.
I will put the new route on here when I get a chance to go through it in detail. Next task is to sort some camp sites out and write some begging letters.
